Vision and Mission

1. Vision of the Panchayat
The main vision of the Panchayat is to lead the area and the people under its jurisdiction towards comprehensive progress.
Sustainable Development: To achieve long-term progress in the fields of agriculture, industry and employment while protecting the environment.
Self-sufficiency: To make villages self-sufficient in basic needs such as food, drinking water, health and education.
Social Justice: To create a friendly environment that ensures equal justice and security for the marginalized, the poor, women, children and the differently-abled.
Improved Quality of Life: To improve the quality of life of the people through modern facilities and improved infrastructure (roads, electricity, housing).
2. Mission of the Panchayat
Mission is the specific tasks and activities that the Panchayat implements to realize the vision.
A) Infrastructure Development
Providing clean drinking water to all.
​Construct and maintain rural roads, drains and public toilets.
​Implement scientific waste management systems.
​B) Social and welfare activities
​Ensure housing for the homeless through schemes like Life Mission.
​Distribute welfare pensions to the deserving.
​Ensure the welfare of women and children through Anganwadis and Kudumbashree.
​C) Public health and education
​Provide better treatment and preventive activities through Primary Health Centres (PHC).
​Improve the physical conditions of public schools and provide digital facilities.
​D) Local economic development
​Provide employment to maximum people through Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS).
​Increase production by providing subsidies and incentives to agriculture, animal husbandry and traditional industries.
​e) Democratic Governance (Gramasabha)
​Ensure direct participation and transparency of the people in development projects by regularly convening Gram Sabhas.
​Provide the people with the necessary certificates and services in a hassle-free and corruption-free manner.
​In short: As a local government "run by the people, for the people and by the people", the paramount objective of a Panchayat is to enable the comprehensive social, economic and cultural progress of an area.
